Prof. Dr. C.K. Sasidharan is a pioneering Senior Consultant in Paediatrics and Neonatology at Baby Memorial Hospital, Calicut, with over 40 years of exceptional clinical, academic, and research experience. A former Professor and Head of the Department of Paediatrics at Calicut Medical College, Dr. Sasidharan is celebrated for his contributions to paediatric infectious disease research, neonatal care innovations, and public health advancements.

He holds an MD in Paediatrics from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, and is the first paediatrician from Kerala to earn the MNAMS in Paediatrics. Conferred with the FRCP (Glasgow) in 2009, he has been instrumental in advancing child health through his leadership roles in academic institutions and public health forums.

Dr. Sasidharan is renowned for identifying Kerala’s first outbreaks of Hand-Foot-and-Mouth Disease and Enterovirus 71 meningitis and describing the novel paediatric condition “Red Baby Syndrome.” His clinical practice combines evidence-based medicine with a holistic, child-focused approach.
