He has worked extensively in tertiary care hospitals and the healthcare industry, gaining expertise in both clinical practice and healthcare consulting. Dr. Hakim is recognised as one of the leading clinical neurologists in India and is known for his advanced skills in managing complex neurovascular disorders of the brain and spine.

He has successfully performed over 10,000 cerebral and spinal diagnostic angiographies and more than 3,500 therapeutic interventions, making him one of the most experienced neurointervention specialists in the country. His research interests lie in neurological infections and nervous system inflammation, and he continues to contribute actively through publications and conference presentations.
