The Department of Anaesthesiology at Baby Memorial Hospitals play a critical role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and outcomes of all surgical and interventional procedures. With advances in surgery and diagnostics, the demand for precision anaesthesia has grown. At BMH, our anaesthesia team works in step with these innovations to support a wide spectrum of specialties.

Our highly trained anaesthesiologists are involved in preoperative evaluation, intraoperative care, and postoperative recovery, tailoring anaesthetic plans based on patient condition and procedure type. They work across various domains including general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, obstetrics, and critical care. The department is also equipped to manage patients undergoing radiological, endoscopic, and interventional procedures requiring sedation or anaesthesia.

In addition to surgical anaesthesia, the department offers pain management services for chronic and debilitating conditions, improving quality of life for patients with persistent pain. The Operation Theatre Complex at BMH includes 16 fully equipped modular OTs with stainless steel interiors, anti-static flooring, and laminar airflow systems with microfilters to ensure a near-zero infection environment.
