The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PMR) at Baby Memorial Hospital is dedicated to restoring mobility, function, and quality of life for individuals affected by physical impairments, injuries, or chronic disabilities. Our goal is to maximise recovery, minimise pain, and improve the overall well-being of each patient through a personalised, multidisciplinary approach.

We provide both in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation services for conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, and nerves. The department is led by experienced physiatrists and supported by a skilled team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and swallow therapists, clinical psychologists, and prosthetics specialists.

Whether recovering from a stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputation, or managing cerebral palsy or chronic pain, patients receive goal-oriented, evidence-based therapy tailored to their condition and capabilities. The department also offers specialised pulmonary rehabilitation, pain interventions, and advanced assistive training systems to aid long-term recovery.
