Overview

Paediatric and developmental rehabilitation provides early, individualised therapy for children with cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental challenges. The goal is to help children achieve age-appropriate developmental milestones and lead independent, fulfilling lives.

Therapies are designed to improve gross and fine motor skills, speech and communication, cognitive abilities, behaviour, and sensory integration. The programme is tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs, using play-based and task-specific activities. Therapy sessions often involve physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language therapy with active participation from parents or caregivers.

At Baby Memorial Hospital, our child-friendly rehabilitation unit provides a safe and supportive environment. Early intervention specialists work closely with developmental paediatricians, psychologists, and educators to ensure a holistic care model. Parent training and home activity plans are an integral part of the programme to reinforce progress outside the hospital setting.
