Dr Biju I K

Dr. Biju I. K. is the Chief and Senior Consultant in the Department of Medical Gastroenterology at Baby Memorial Hospital, Calicut. With over 22 years of experience in advanced gastrointestinal care, he is a pioneer in therapeutic endoscopy, hepatobiliary interventions, and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) in North Kerala. He is one of the first specialists to establish a dedicated EUS unit in Malabar in 2011, offering comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic EUS-guided procedures.

Dr. Biju is trained in advanced interventional hepatology including transjugular liver biopsy and plays a pivotal role in the hospital's liver transplant programme, managing both preoperative evaluations and postoperative care. His clinical leadership, hands-on expertise in complex endoscopic techniques, and contribution to gastroenterological research make him a key opinion leader in the region.
