Dr. Sunil George

Dr. Sunil George is a senior nephrology consultant and kidney transplant with over 26 years of distinguished experience in comprehensive renal care. Currently serving at Baby Memorial Hospital, Calicut, he is recognised as a pioneer in nephrology innovation in Kerala. Trained at the esteemed Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, Dr. Sunil has made significant contributions in critical care nephrology, renal transplantation (adult and paediatric), and community-based dialysis outreach.

He performed Kerala’s first related cadaver kidney transplant and introduced North Kerala’s first mobile dialysis unit and paediatric CAPD programme. With a rich academic foundation and a commitment to patient-centred care, he blends evidence-based medical protocols with compassionate clinical practice. A key opinion leader in nephrology, Dr. Sunil has been instrumental in establishing high-quality kidney care services for all age groups across the region.
