She is also trained in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), which supports bedside assessment and clinical decision-making in critically ill patients. Her areas of expertise include the use of bedside imaging as part of the evaluation and monitoring of critically ill children, alongside other essential critical care investigations and monitoring techniques.
Her clinical skills extend to renal replacement therapy, invasive monitoring and critical care procedures, particularly in children with severe or complicated illnesses requiring multidisciplinary intensive care. She is trained in the recognition and management of clinical deterioration and in providing timely interventions for critically ill paediatric patients.
An important aspect of her practice is the management of paediatric shock and sepsis, where early recognition, rapid assessment and appropriate supportive treatment are essential. She is also trained in paediatric resuscitation and the management of medical emergencies requiring immediate and coordinated intervention.
With specialised postgraduate training in paediatric critical care, she brings together her paediatric knowledge and intensive care expertise to provide comprehensive care for children across a range of clinical presentations. Her approach emphasizes careful clinical assessment, timely intervention, close monitoring and evidence-based management, with particular attention to the individual needs of each child.
