Baby Memorial Hospital Kannur Launches Dedicated Centre for Women & Child and Advanced Paediatric ICU

Kannur: Baby Memorial Hospital has inaugurated a dedicated Centre for Women & Child and a state-of-the-art Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), further strengthening its commitment to providing comprehensive and specialized healthcare services for women and children. The newly launched facility brings maternal and child healthcare services under one roof, ensuring seamless, patient-centric care with enhanced privacy and comfort.

The Centre for Women & Child integrates the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Neonatology, Paediatrics, and Paediatric Critical Care, enabling mothers and children to receive coordinated care without the need to move between different areas of the hospital. The centre has been designed to offer a comfortable and family-friendly environment while ensuring access to advanced medical expertise at every stage of maternal and child care. The newly inaugurated Paediatric ICU has been thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming and reassuring environment for children, minimizing the anxiety often associated with hospital stays. Equipped with advanced critical care technology and supported by a multidisciplinary team of specialists, the unit is focused on ensuring both clinical excellence and emotional comfort for young patients and their families.
