Heart Health: Success of the Heart Friendly Cooking Contest

In observance of World Heart Day on September 29th, Baby Memorial Hospital Vatakara successfully organized a unique and engaging initiative: the 'Heart-Friendly Cooking Contest'. This special event was designed with the core objective of raising awareness about the importance of a heart healthy diet.

We encouraged homemakers from the community to participate enthusiastically, showcasing dishes specifically curated for cardiovascular wellness. Participants presented their dishes at the hospital and clearly articulated their recipes, explaining how each ingredient and preparation method contributes to heart health. The competition was judged by a renowned professional from the culinary field, Chef from Paragon, adding significant prestige to the event.

The contest achieved remarkable community engagement, drawing attention to the vital link between diet and heart function. Through the remarkable participation and innovative recipes shared, BMH Vatakara was able to effectively educate and empower the public to adopt healthier dietary habits.

The winners were honored with prizes presented by Mr. Nidhin Antony, Chief Operating Officer of Baby Memorial Hospital, underscoring the hospital's commitment at the leadership level. The success of the Heart-Friendly Cooking Contest ultimately promotes better heart health across the community and underscores BMH Vatakara's commitment to preventive health education.
