The Emergency Medicine Department of Baby Memorial Hospital, Vadakara, successfully organized Emergency Care Week 2026 as a week long initiative to recognize and honor the dedicated services of the Emergency Care team.
The program was conceived to appreciate the exceptional commitment of the Emergency Care team, who consistently demonstrate rapid decision making in critical situations and remarkable resilience even under challenging conditions. The initiative also aimed to acknowledge their life saving expertise and outstanding contributions in delivering emergency medical care.
The event was officially inaugurated at the hospital main lobby in the presence of hospital leadership and senior professionals.
The program began with a welcome address by Dr. Shameel Usman Moidu, Lead Consultant, Emergency Medicine Department. Dr. Sunil Prasanth, Chief of Medical Services and Mr. Nidhin Antony, Chief Operating Officer, spoke about the vital role of the Emergency Department in providing timely and effective treatment, as well as the hospital’s continued progress in emergency care services.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Fabith Moideen, Chief & Senior Consultant, BMH Kozhikode, addressed the gathering and highlighted the challenges in emergency medicine practice, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and effective coordination in saving lives.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Shruthi Ajithkumar, Emergency Consultant.
The week long program featured various awareness activities and public education sessions aimed at enhancing understanding of emergency response and life saving practices.
