Baby Memorial Hospital Kannur Launches “Steps – Care Beyond Age” Initiative for Senior Citizens

Kannur: Baby Memorial Hospital has launched “Steps – Care Beyond Age by BMH,” a community initiative dedicated to promoting the health, well-being, and social engagement of senior citizens. The initiative aims to support older adults in leading active, healthy, and meaningful lives through regular interactions, health education, and community-based activities.

As part of the program, senior citizens from diverse backgrounds will be brought together every month for a range of activities, including health awareness sessions, seminars, expert talks, interactive discussions, wellness programs, cultural events, and social gatherings. The initiative is designed to encourage healthy ageing by fostering social connections, enhancing health awareness, and creating opportunities for active participation in community life. The launch program also featured a Basic Life Support (BLS) awareness session, health education talks, and interactive discussions with healthcare professionals. Organizers announced that the initiative will continue to expand in the coming months with a variety of programs focused on the needs and interests of senior citizens.
