The surgery was supported by the anesthesia team led by Dr. C. M. Ansar, along with the OT team and Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Hijaz Ismail who all actively participated in the program. Dr. Sunil Prashanth (CMS) and Hospital Chief Operating Officer Nidhin Antony also attended the event and addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the achievement.

Doctors noted that robotic-assisted knee replacement offers several advantages, including reduced post-operative pain, minimal blood loss, and faster recovery time. Patients are expected to regain mobility and begin walking much sooner compared to traditional surgical methods.

Hospital management stated that this initiative reflects Baby Memorial Hospital’s commitment to bringing world class healthcare services closer to people in Vadakara and nearby regions, reducing the need for long-distance travel for advanced treatments.
