A Father's Second Chance: Liver Donation by His Daughter

What began as a simple accident led KT Satheesh Kumar to an unexpected diagnosis of non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis at Baby Memorial Hospital, Kozhikode. Under the expert care of Dr. Biju I K, Consultant – Medical Gastroenterology, GI Endoscopy & Liver Transplant, he underwent a successful liver transplant, with his elder daughter donating a part of her liver and giving her father a second chance at life. He shares his experience of the compassionate care, support and guidance he received from the doctors and staff throughout his treatment and follow-up journey.
