At Baby Memorial Hospitals, the Department of Emergency Medicine provides time-sensitive, life-saving care to patients facing trauma, critical illness, or unexpected medical emergencies. Our highly trained emergency physicians, nurses, and paramedics are available 24/7 and are equipped to stabilise, assess, and initiate treatment for all types of medical, surgical, and trauma cases.

The department is staffed by specialists in trauma care, cardiac life support, toxicology, and acute medical interventions. It includes a 22-bed emergency unit with a four-bed advanced resuscitation bay, supported by dedicated mobile ICU ambulances for efficient pre-hospital care. With integrated protocols, rapid triage, and multidisciplinary collaboration, we provide seamless patient care from the field to the hospital.

Whether it is a road traffic accident, cardiac arrest, stroke, poisoning, or respiratory distress, our team is prepared to deliver immediate and comprehensive treatment, improving survival and recovery rates. We also house specialised facilities for handling toxicology cases, mass casualties, and infectious emergencies with isolation infrastructure.
