Radiation therapy itself is painless. Patients may lie on a treatment table while the machine delivers targeted radiation, similar to having an X-ray. However, some individuals may experience mild side effects over the course of treatment, which are closely monitored and managed by our care team.

Each session usually takes about 15–30 minutes, depending on the type of treatment. Most of this time is spent positioning the patient and ensuring accuracy. The actual delivery of radiation usually lasts only a few minutes.
