FAQ's

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS) uses small incisions and specialised instruments to treat spinal conditions with less muscle disruption. It usually results in faster recovery, reduced pain, and shorter hospital stays compared to traditional open surgery.

This procedure is done to relieve pressure on a spinal nerve caused by a herniated disc in the lower back. It is usually recommended when leg pain (sciatica) does not improve with medication or physiotherapy

Endoscopic techniques allow surgeons to operate through a small tube with a camera, reducing tissue damage. It is effective for treating disc herniations, stenosis, and select spinal infections.

Cervical Discectomy involves removing a damaged or herniated disc in the neck to relieve nerve compression. It is commonly done for neck pain, arm pain, or weakness caused by cervical disc disease

Surgical correction involves straightening and stabilising the spine using rods, screws, and bone grafts. It is considered when spinal curves are severe, progressive, or causing pain and breathing issues.

Spinal fusion is used to stabilise the spine in conditions like instability, degenerative disc disease, or after discectomy. It helps reduce pain by stopping motion between affected vertebrae.

It is used to relieve pressure on the spinal cord or nerves caused by conditions like spinal stenosis, disc herniation, or bone overgrowth. Procedures may include laminectomy or foraminotomy.

Spinal fractures from trauma are stabilised using screws, rods, or cages to support the spine and prevent nerve damage. Early surgery can prevent long-term disability.

Treatment may include medications, physiotherapy, and in advanced cases, surgical decompression to widen the narrowed spinal canal and relieve nerve compression.

Revision surgery is performed when a previous spine surgery has failed, or complications arise such as implant issues, infection, or persistent pain. It requires careful assessment and surgical expertise.
